These are the DC Public Library’s most popular books in 2021

Hot vax summer never really took off, so what did the folks in DC do instead? They read books, apparently! The DC Public Library’s comprehensive list of its most popular titles for 2021 bears only a slight resemblance to last year’s list, suggesting that readers in the district have continued to look for new works to peruse. while waiting, apparently in vain, for life to return to normal. ish.

Local author Barack Obama is one year old A promised land was the second most viewed non-fiction book this year. He shared this list with several authors with ties to the Washington area, including Isabel Wilkerson, Glennon Doyle, and Robert Kolker.
